Abstract

When bombarding preoxidized silver with α-particles111In-oxygen-vacancy complexes are formed. PAC measurements on the most stable complex 6 (νq=161 (2) MHz, η=1, δ/νq=6(1) %) were performed to determine the structure of this highly asymmetric complex. On the basis of PAC experiments on Ag single crystals and the variation of the oxygen concentration and the measuring temperature a structure model of this complex 6 is proposed.
